Looking for Useful Proxy Listings for Facebook Users

January 4th, 2012

It is truly possible, no installation program is required to setup a proxy, so that one can login to Facebook without issues.

Login to Facebook using proxy does extensively help many users to easily access the popular social media, especially when facebook is blocked in some countries.

Among many posts I have written and published in this blog, this particular one has come to my attention that I need to further clarify the purpose of it.

If you are googling for keywords like “facebook login proxy”, you bound to receive search results of my blog with this specific post. Yet, one may not find a definite solution after reading in. The proxy Address and Port on the print screen has failed to function.

The purpose of that post is to provide a guide on How-to setup, and not What-in Facebook proxy. I have received friendly anonymous mails asking me for proxy list. As a typical facebook user, just like many geeks out there, I find my proxy address using search.

Some websites do provide free listings, however, some tag along with a premier cost. Well, that is fair enough to reason as: if one pay peanuts, one will get monkeys.

For coming weeks, I will be sharing some good sites which provide proxy listings.

Any of the sites you are using and want to recommend?

Login to Facebook Using Proxy Server (No Installation Program Needed!)

March 13th, 2011

Login to Facebook using proxy server, has been most frequently and proven-in method for accessing blocked websites. Perhaps, you want to catch up with your dearest friends and news from Japan on the devastating earthquake, tsunami, and the nuclear emergency happening right now.

Another good reason is that there is no installation of any unknown programs needed, therefore, minimizing potential threads of malicious virus, spyware or malware. And no coding file necessary or memory hogging.

Login to Facebook Using Proxy Server

Above all, its free and safe!

Follow below simple steps that I have concise it. Settings are applicable to only 2 type of browsers on Windows Operating Systems. Namely, Windows Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

Settings For Windows 7:

  1. Click the “Start” Orb at the bottom left of your computer screen.
  2. Right above the “Start” Orb, you see “Search programs and files” with the cursor placed on the input box.
  3. Type “inetcpl.cpl” into the field and press “Enter” to bring up Internet Properties window. (It’s advisable to remember this command that reduced 10 tedious steps before this).
  4. On the top menu tap of Internet Properties window, select Connections.
  5. Click on “LAN settings” button located at the lower_right_corner. A new window appears as “Local Area Network (LAN) Settings”, illustration below.
  6. Check the box “Use Proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections)” (Uncheck to resume to original settings)
  7. Enter the Address and Proxy as show in the illustration below.
  8. Finish with clicking “OK” to close all windows.
  9. Start surfing to https://Facebook.com/login.php.

Important: With the above settings, logging in to Facebook.com will prompt you with some security questions. This procedure is necessary for verification on your FB account, as proxy server designated below are from S. Korea. Meaning, you are virtually surfing the internet from that country.

So at the end of the security questions, FB will show the location. Simply click “This is OK” to accept and proceed to use Facebook.com.

Are you already on full access to Facebook.com now? Yes? Isn’t this magical?

Now, you may have some questions right now, such as How proxy server works? Am I surfing on anonymity mode? How the proxy server is being selected and why it is safe to use? Will my password be stolen?

First off, please put all this doubt aside. That specific proxy that you are using is safe and on high-anonymity. You are owning the best options at your own upmost advantage, as mentioned from the beginning. What is there to lose? Smile

However, please follow up with another post to answer the above questions, and feel free to comment and share opinions on this post.

PS: If you are traveling in Vietnam right now, be sure to use it with social responsibility, despite Facebook.com being banned by the official authority. And if you are on public PC, do resume back to its original settings after use.

Watch “The Secret Life of The American Teenage” from YouTube. At least an excerpts…

June 8th, 2010

You may want to catch up with the latest episode of “The Secret Life of The American Teenage“. But hack!, you have to work over-time, to earn the extra pocket money. So the solution is to automate your TV recorder and watch it later when you get back home.

At times, all this prearrange effort may come to nought, because of wrong settings, timing, or technical glitches on the recording device. Probably, you have to read the thick manual on how-to, troubleshooting, Q & A topics…..

Nah!.. That takes time, you not going to do that.

Alternatively, you may want to watch The Secret Life of The American Teenageon YouTube, at least an excerpts of the entire episode. And this is what I’m doing.

Well, at least that is good enough to keep me going on the next day to social and discuss with friends about what happened to Amy Juergens, Ashley Juergens or Benjamin “Ben” Boykewich.

You hook on to the internet and start to search in YouTube for the latest “The Secret Life of The American Teenage, Season 3“. The video results turned out to be uploaded 1 year ago! Sometime, the smart search tool may give you the latest video uploaded 4 hours ago. And that is the latest episode, or perhaps not.. Its another erroneous search result..

Don’t give up! Try the YouTube “Search Options” located at the top left corner of your search result page. The fonts size are small, will find it if you look at the YouTube logo at top left corner.

This feature YouTube “Search Options” from has been around for long time, until recently I started to use it more frequently. Nothing new, but a very useful optional feature.

Now the search has become smarter, accustomed to your specific request. By default, YouTube “Search Options” is collapsed (hidden), and require user to expand the feature.

Expand it by clicking the down arrow, which is next to YouTube “Search Options”. You will see the menu breakdown into this few groups:-

  1. Result type:
  2. Sort by:
  3. Upload date:
  4. Categories:
  5. Duration:
  6. Features:

Quickest of all to get the real-time search result is to Sort By: Upload date.

All other options are based on one’s preference and requirement. No assurance that result is free from error. So pick the right video to watch. The options and latest search results are all there.

Below I have attached 2 screenshot on the feature of this “Search Options“. With and without defining search option, “Sort By: Upload date”

The obvious differences includes:-

  • When the video was uploaded, 6 months or 1 year, etc.
  • Number of visitors who have watch the video uploaded.
