It’s has been 2 years this blog exists. A personal blog including post about internet, Facebook, proxy and traveling web user.

All this while, this blog has been growing upwardly and persistently trying to post at least once per week.

That frequency is not demanding, however, considered as the minimum amount of regular post. How I hope I can blog almost everyday, 365 times a year. Or even 3 times per week.

Talking is cheap. Action speaks louder than words. I better stick on to my effort to post weekly.

This blog has 3 sub-domains. Sad to say, I would be tearing down the content soon and just focus on this http://Cyperwin.com.

That doesn’t mean lesser content in future. If my thoughts and hopes are elsewhere, it is impossible to set my focus steadily toward my blog post required.

There is another reason why I choose to have weekly post. Before saying more, I ought to emphasize as a valid reason, not a lame excuse.

I’m having 2 other blogs, i.e. http://PhotoPortraitPainting.com and http://ColorPaintingArt.com

PLUS… one more which I have just registered. It took me quite a while to consider having this new website blog. It will be a journal of my years spending in another South East Asia country.

I will be relocating to Taiwan, Tainan city. A beautiful country, rich in culture and friendly people.

Taipei city is the capital of Taiwan located in northern region, whereas Tainan is the oldest city in southern Taiwan.

Presently, I’m trying to spend time organizing the new website. I will be sharing the web address soon.

If you know about Tainan city in Taiwan, do share your thoughts by adding your comments. I would love to read them and learn from you.

Few months ago, I have written a page to describe the purpose of my blog. It may seem quite recent, though, page has been published on November 2009. Sometime, I just wonder what have I been doing that took me so long to refine the About.Me page.

And then, I made an effort to re-write About.Me page by including over 500 words from the original post. I have no better adverbs to describe how short my earlier page was, but to put it as pathetically brief and pointless. It never disappoints me then.

The second attempt was better in a sense that I have written a clearer overview of the purpose of my blog. However, I would grade it as just satisfactory.

Why is it so? Over 500 words may give sufficient detail to read, but the span is still too lenghty.

I should have shorten is by half its length, if better, reduced to 50 words. Make it succinct and to the point.

Sound challenging. The original was too short with about 100 words, now it has at least 500 words. So from the existing 500 words it will summarize to target within 50 words? Perhaps, I have high expectation and want to have continuous improvements.

I will re-write it. All the content preserved, be it good or bad. I have pasted the entire post here so that everyone can read.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been surfing the internet since 1990. Back then, the highest speed was 56K using a dial-up modem. And that’s the best technology and connection speed available in any developing Asia countries. As of today, highest speed attainable is very much faster and affordable.
Am I trying to sell some product online? The answer is ‘No’. I’m not promoting any subscription of fiber optic cable connection, or the latest technology gadget, such as iPad, Andriod, PC tablets, etc…
Neither am I sharing another lengthy history of what I have done for the past 2 decades, nor a biography of myself. So please read on the About page. I shall get this straight to the point.
http://CyperWin.com is about social blogging and the web users. The overview of this social blogging envision a thought for “Now I know, so I blog.” Helping readers to understand easily and to learn, “Make it simple, and you learn.”
The blog aims to interact and help any online novice, who uses the internet. Blogging about interesting web tools that are ever-changing and fast paced. Sharing tips on how-to, ideas of what-is, and helpful advice on optimizing tools, and introducing simple cloud applications. I’m one who emphasize on web applications that are lightweight, simple and objective-oriented.
On top of that, this social blogging is also about updating the latest trends happening in the web. Such as, Twitter post on “What’s happening?”, and Google search on what’s up and coming. Or simple blog about “How to login to Facebook?” can be challenging, especially in countries where social websites are banned.
At times, I will blog about some basic internet security, such as malware that goes virally on Facebook. This includes important measures and simple guidelines to keep your web surfing safe and secured.
Some of my blogs also talk about traveling advice and backpacking tips for students and vagabonds who travel on shoe’s string.
Generally speaking, this social blogging is about the Web Users.
In addition, I have 3 other blogs in the my sub-domains. Namely :-
Blogging about online scams and phishing.
Please visit http://Scams.CyperWin.com
Blogging about Open Source and Gentoo Linux OS.
Please visit http://Gentoo.CyperWin.com
Lastly, on English Language and Random Thoughts.
Please visit http://English.CyperWin.com
At the moment I work alone, and I hope to have a small team with a common goal. Furthermore, I’m not really an expert in this I.T fields. Whatever I have gained, I learn. And I want to share in this blog. I maybe a few steps behind any elite bloggers, but definitely not the last in the race of fast-tracked technology. Perhaps somewhere in the middle…
I read my mails every day, not wanting to miss out any information that is important to me. Therefore, I will be glad, if you able to share with me your thoughts and opinions, by contacting me with below 3 methods.
1)      Email me: http://CyperWin.com/Contact
2)      Facebook: http://Facebook.com/CyperWin
3)      Twitter:  http://Twitter.com/CyperWin
Additional notes:
“CyperWin” is a 8-letters word , having 3 syllabus in pronunciation. It is also a word that I have created to define myself.
The first 2 syllabus, “Cyper“, is a combination of 2 words that can be easily found in the dictionary.
“Cyper“, is a pretext combine by 2 root words ‘Cyber’ and ‘Hyper’. My reference below is from Longman Dictionary.
‘Cyber‘ : “from relating to computers, especially to messages and information on the Internet”
“Hyper” : “extremely excited or nervous about something”
With the above meaning, I’m trying derive the meaning of “Cyper” as “Any activities relating to computers and internet, which are evolving in a fast pace environment “.
“Win” is regard as a countable suffix to the former. Literally, it mean victory or leading. It is also the second syllable of my first name.
There are endless numbers of proxy address available as free. I often use to login facebook while traveling in Vietnam.  Before we proceed to the free proxy list, I will have to share with you the basic of how to select proxy address.
Proxy Address is a numeric label assigned as an intermediary gate to the desired website u be visiting. This label also called proxy server used for settings described here.
Choosing the proxy address can be determine by 3 basic filtering components. Namely, proxy type, proxy port, and proxy country.
Below technically describe the terms.
Proxy Type ~
The level of anonymity for user. There are:-
Non-anonymous proxy server. For casual surfing of webpages. Example: Google search.
Anonymous proxy server. With certain degree of anonymity for web surfing. Example: Facebook Login.
Highly Anonymous proxy. Highly secured and for elite user. Example: Yahoo mail login.
Proxy Port ~
Act as a listening channel to consolidate all internet request. Both proxy port and proxy address work in pairs, relying on each other to function or connect properly.
Most common proxy port is 8080, supporting web address with protocol beginning with “http://www…” and “https://www…”. The latter protocol is SSL; short for Secured Sockets Layer, a protocol for encrypting information over the Internet.
Proxy Country ~
Location of proxy server. For example: If your physical location is in Vietnam, you might one to choose a proxy address located in Germany or United States. Virtually, you are also identify as one surfing from that chosen location. No concern if you don’t have any particular preference.
However, the security of Facebook Login will detect your login as an unidentified user of different country. Do not panic, just login and answer all the security questions by Facebook.
Here is another simple way of explaining above terms.
Let say you are an online seller.  You have to deliver the successfully sold item to your buyer by the chosen courier service. Or you could be a wholeseller delivering branded goods to supplier (intermediary gate) who later distribute (serve) to his customers living in smaller towns. Product could metaphorically refer to sending your internet requests as a package.
Before delivering your product to supplier’s address (Proxy Address), you need to know:-
the province or country (Proxy Country) of the buyer’s residency you are sending to, and
the shipping port (Proxy Port), airport, seaport or post office to consolidate all incoming goods.
the degree of securing the product (Proxy Type). E.g. special packing, registered-article or just a simple plain mail.
Once you understand these 3 basic requirements, you may proceed to select your own proxy address that works for Facebook Login.
Here is the link for recommended free proxy listings: http://spys.ru/en/.
Try filtering the 3 components to search for the desired proxy address usable in Facebook Login.
Free Proxy List
It is truly possible, no installation program is required to setup a proxy, so that one can login to Facebook without issues.
Login to Facebook using proxy does extensively help many users to easily access the popular social media, especially when facebook is blocked in some countries.
Among many posts I have written and published in this blog, this particular one has come to my attention that I need to further clarify the purpose of it.
If you are googling for keywords like “facebook login proxy”, you bound to receive search results of my blog with this specific post. Yet, one may not find a definite solution after reading in. The proxy Address and Port on the print screen has failed to function.
The purpose of that post is to provide a guide on How-to setup, and not What-in Facebook proxy. I have received friendly anonymous mails asking me for proxy list. As a typical facebook user, just like many geeks out there, I find my proxy address using search.
Some websites do provide free listings, however, some tag along with a premier cost. Well, that is fair enough to reason as: if one pay peanuts, one will get monkeys.
For coming weeks, I will be sharing some good sites which provide proxy listings.
Any of the sites you are using and want to recommend?
After all, its also not a bad choice to possess some of this fashionable ‘toys’, such as iMac notebook, iPad, Ipod, and iPhone.
No doubt about their ingenious technology on consumer’s electronics. Including its latest branding of Apple’s cloud computing services, iCloud Stores.
Most of the sought-after hand-held devices have already dominated a major portion of the world’s market. So much so that one of the Chinese enthusiast for iPad has come out with its own DIY model.
It’s a look-alike version which dubbed “DIY iPad 3″. The gadget has installed Windows XP as the running operating systems. This look-alike model is done by a Chinese Man, named Liu Xinying (劉新營)
Here’s a video I have re-edited to synchronize with a better song, and reducing its original lengthy video to merely 7 minutes. Additionally, it has also been cropped to produced a wider view on it process of DIY.
Proxy server that are often without maintenance, may encounter frequent network issues, such as poor connectivity. For most users, good proxy servers don’t consider connectivity issue as a major issues. For others, however, reliability and secured proxy server serve the utmost priority.
If proxy server is a gateway that you can use to login to Facebook, then it should be reliable to produce consistency in network connectivity, plus secured usage.
Technically speaking, when one owns a proxy server, he is also leasing a private line from a reputable service provider. Most cooperate companies and Asian travelers will purchase their own private proxy server. No doubt an amount of fee is incurred upon downloading the programs.
As ordinary web user like us, we may be more interested to have free proxy server, instead.
I’m sure there are many free proxy servers exist. On one note, you may have to compromise on the poor quality of this free stuff, in terms of speed and connectivity, but not giving up on the basic internet security. Password and content is your privacy, don’t you agree?
Since it’s a free proxy server, who will border to maintain and perform quality tests?
All these maintenance are beyond most web user’s capability. After all, we only want to login to Facebook to share with friends our traveling photos, status or catch up with our love ones.
Are you in the dilemma? If so, do you understand the basic difference between paid and free proxy server?
When you purchase a service from a private proxy server, those paid amount goes to the programmers, technical supports and maintenance team, whom has worked hard for you to keep their servers up and running at all time.
You are the customer; you pay them to deliver the service to you. At the peace of your mind, these experts dutifully perform their task. As simple as that.
So do I still recommend using free proxy server?
In my opinion, its about the choice from web user. If you are earning some incomes from Facebook or Twitter as a internet marketers, by all means, engage the service. Just pay a small fee to the service providers to maintained the proxy server for you. Generally, It will be more productive to channel your focus on gaining profit earnings
Or do you choose to spend time tweaking on configuration tools and proxy settings?
Oh,, you are not on business purpose? No income to pay the service? Just want to login to Facebook? Students looking for freebies? (whom I used to be in my early days.).
Perhaps, a Facebook fanatic wouldn’t mind forking out some cash to do it.
Certainly, as students, this situation is understandable to sympathies about paying for a proxy server. You are only a temporary users, wanting to social with friends online.
Frankly speaking, it’s a pain in the ass, especially for backpackers traveling to China or Vietnam. Facebook login is almost impossible without a proxy server.
Below is an excerpt that I have read from a traveling blog.
I can’t get onto Facebook here (China), I could if I download some program which will cost me £5 , which will then direct me to an outside server but to be honest I am not missing Facebook that much so I have no way to answer your messages.
To most internet social addicts, saying that you are not missing Facebook is a perfectly perfect white lie. (Joke aside.)
First of all, to every web users reading this post. Getting a free proxy server by your own is not at all difficult. It may be a bit of bother for searching and updating it frequently.
As a novice traveller in Asia countries, I have successfully log into Facebook using free proxy server is possible.
Till next blog, I shall be sharing on How to search for free proxy server. How to use them, identifying the right and secured server. And some basic technical terms that is explained in simple meaning.
Dearest MyCube.com; Give it to me! “My Activation Code“. Have you just posted this request on MyCube Facebook Page? Well, my friend did! Me too, and I bet most are eager to sign up this new social network  from the beta release of MyCube.com. Click this link! MyCube private beta. Signing up is free.
But I already have a Facebook account, what so special about this MyCube.com social exchange website?
The key focus of this new social network is the complete control of your ownership, on every digital material shared within the social network. This includes your status, photos, videos, articles, or news. It takes effect at the time of your first login. All settings are default as “private“. In other words, your choice of privacy is an exclusive privilege given at MyCube.com
Now, there are 2 important features that I have noticed while surfing around the social exchange site, My Cube.com
Firstly, adding new friends are set to the default option of “Only share my public information“. Unlike Facebook, it don’t have such features in the process of adding new networking friends. So why take all the troubles to change your privacy settings after adding new social friend’s request? In fact, both sides have this feature. MyCube.com counteract this issue by giving privacy options from the start you add them, as well as, approving new friend’s request.
Secondly, whatever status, photos, video or article that you are going to post, are already set to share within “All Contacts“. It also means non-added friends are strictly not able to view your posted content. No one can ‘peek’ into your wall activities and share your photos publicly; no unauthorized forwarding of your content. Take note that Facebook default settings for your wall are set to Public.
For most Facebook’s privacy, users have to manually customize their settings by specifying who ought not to see the posted content. The objectives of owning privacy in Facebook fails from the start.
Here is what the founder & CEO of MyCube.com, Johan Staël von Holstein has to say, “We  (MyCube.com) are a sophisticated social exchange where privacy, and integrity is the  beginning.” Indeed, that statement is immediately proven-in at the moment you first login.
Lastly, as needed by every sign up using private beta, the activation code is “blog”. Enjoy your new generation of the social exchange and networking!
