DIY iPad3, A Look-alike Model by Chinese Man, Liu Xinying (劉新營)

July 18th, 2011

Honestly speaking, I’m not much of a fan on Apple’s products. I don’t own any of their gadgets that appeal to me. After all, its also not a bad choice to possess some of this fashionable ‘toys’, such as iMac notebook, iPad, Ipod, and iPhone.

No doubt about their ingenious technology on consumer’s electronics. Including its latest branding of Apple’s cloud computing services, iCloud Stores.

Most of the sought-after hand-held devices have already dominated a major portion of the world’s market. So much so that one of the Chinese enthusiast for iPad has come out with its own DIY model.

It’s a look-alike version which dubbed “DIY iPad 3″. The gadget has installed Windows XP as the running operating systems. This look-alike model is done by a Chinese Man, named Liu Xinying (劉新營)

Here’s a video I have re-edited to synchronize with a better song, and reducing its original lengthy video to merely 7 minutes. Additionally, it has also been cropped to produced a wider view on it process of DIY.

MyCube.com; Give It To Me! “My Activation Code”

June 12th, 2011

Dearest MyCube.com; Give it to me! “My Activation Code. Have you just posted this request on MyCube Facebook Page? Well, my friend did! Me too, and I bet most are eager to sign up this new social network from the beta release of MyCube.com. Click this link! MyCube private beta. Signing up is free.

But I already have a Facebook account, what so special about this MyCube.com social exchange website?

The key focus of this new social network is the complete control of your ownership, on every digital material shared within the social network. This includes your status, photos, videos, articles, or news. It takes effect at the time of your first login. All settings are default as “private“. In other words, your choice of privacy is an exclusive privilege given at MyCube.com

Now, there are 2 important features that I have noticed while surfing around the social exchange site, My Cube.com

Firstly, adding new friends are set to the default option of “Only share my public information. Unlike Facebook, it don’t have such features in the process of adding new networking friends. So why take all the troubles to change your privacy settings after adding new social friend’s request? In fact, both sides have this feature. MyCube.com counteract this issue by giving privacy options from the start you add them, as well as, approving new friend’s request.

Secondly, whatever status, photos, video or article that you are going to post, are already set to share within “All Contacts. It also means non-added friends are strictly not able to view your posted content. No one can ‘peek’ into your wall activities and share your photos publicly; no unauthorized forwarding of your content. Take note that Facebook default settings for your wall are set to Public.

For most Facebook’s privacy, users have to manually customize their settings by specifying who ought not to see the posted content. The objectives of owning privacy in Facebook fails from the start.

Here is what the founder & CEO of MyCube.com, Johan Staël von Holstein has to say, “We (MyCube.com) are a sophisticated social exchange where privacy, and integrity is the beginning.” Indeed, that statement is immediately proven-in at the moment you first login.

Lastly, as needed by every sign up using private beta, the activation code is “blog”. Enjoy your new generation of the social exchange and networking!
