Log in to Facebook using Anonymous Web Proxy

March 4th, 2011

Below showing another alternative to log in to Facebook.com. I have been using this anonymous web proxy for a a period of time. Also known as web re-directors.

There are too many anonymous web proxy you can find. Some comes with annoying advertisement, where it starts to pop-up while you surf to Facebook.com. I would recommend KProxy.com

It comes with free and paid services. Free proxy is what I often go for, however, users have to compromise on the slower speed. Occasionally, server busy due to high usage traffic. If that happens, do a hard refresh by holding Control+F5. Or simply F5 to reload pages.

As you can see on the tagline “KProxy works great with Facebook. We have fixed it at nearly 100%. Test it!”. I personally experiencing  surfing through this proxy with moderate satisfaction. Mainly the reason is because its free. Otherwise, you may tried the paid services.

While using this site, you have to take note. Always use the SSL/TLS protocol to provide encryption and secured login to Facebook . Meaning, ‘http’, with the ‘s’ Secured; (i.e is “https://”). Apply it on Kproxy.com and Facebook.com

The 2 links as below. Follow the print-screen shown above.

Hope the above will temporary help for those facebook surfers in HCM city.

Free to comment on the feedback of using this proxy at your end.

Logging in to Facebook Using Lisp4.facebook.com

March 3rd, 2011

Logging in to Facebook while traveling in Vietnam can be quite a dread for a happy vagabond, in particularly, for those who are so cling on to Facebook social networking. (Or specifically saying it ‘Facebook is addictive’).

Despite being banned officially by the country’s authorities, many updates on how-to has also written in techies blogs and websites. If you do a search over the internet, there are numbers of ways to access to Facebook anonymously.

Well, I admit I’m a Facebook addict, albeit not the most high profile ones among the list of friends. I’m just like many travelers, wanting to contact with your dearest family and catching up with closest friends through Facebook.

A few ways have already tried, including the one I have blog 1 year ago. “How to log in Facebook while traveling in Vietnam. That method of changing DNS server works, if you stay in Hue’s Backpacker Hostel located right in the middle of Imperial capital City of Vietnam. That happened 10 days ago, hopefully, it still work as good after reading this. Elsewhere in Vietnam, failed to even surf to the Facebook.com

Two UK’s female travelers staying in that hostel has got my help on the DNS settings, after noticing my 11” Lenovo Thinkpad with Facebook on my favorite browser. I can see their facial expression radiant with overwhelming joy, on successful log in to Facebook with ease.

I will be updating the blog with the same settings, however, only for Windows 7 Operating Systems.

If the above settings don’t work, try another alternative below. You will get the usual feeds, mails, and chat from the normal log in. Please click on.

https://apps.lisp4.facebook.com/login.php

This site belongs to Facebook.com. It is a sub-domain with SSL/TLS protocol to provide encrypted communication and secured log-in. Take note “https”, not “http”’. The letter ‘s’ depict ‘Secured’. Often seen in internet-banking or Gmail login.

PS: There is no guaranteed ways that what has described here is always good and successful. I’m also trying out other methods, which I hope to blog soon.

Do share and comment if you encounter problems using lips.facebook.com

“Candid camera Prank! [HQ]“, Sensational Video in Facebook?

May 15th, 2010

Recently, I have received annoying friends posting their status about a sensational Youtube-look-alike video embedded in their facebook wall. The application entitled “Candid camera Prank! [HQ]” appears to be harmless, and look so much like any alluring nice candid, tempting you to click on it. There are usually send by friends in your list.

It tag your name, followed by a simple message that goes like this “”YourName, this is without doubt the sexiest video ever! :P :P :P “.

Below I have pasted a screenshot with showing 3 consecutive feeds to 3 different users. Identity of username has been smudged and remain undisclosed.

To cut things short and quick! My advice to user is DO_NOT_CLICK!.. and read on for solution if you_have_already click..

“]Facebook, Candid Camera Prank! [HQ]

Facebook, Candid Camera Prank! [HQ

What will happen if you click on it?

  • This Video will redirect you to Application winamp.
  • Application can access your address book, and
  • posting Candid Camera Prank! [HQ] to your friends
  • Its automated, without you knowing!

What is this Link, application, youtube-look-alike?

  • This is an internet worm.
  • Internet worms are truly autonomous virtual viruses, spreading across the net, breaking into computers, and replicating without human assistance and usually without human knowledge.

I have already clicked! So what is the solution? (How To Remove)?

  • Log in to your Facebook account
  • Go to –> Account –> Application Settings –> Remove “K-Multimedia” application
  • Next, from your Windows start button, go to START –> RUN –> type “%temp%”
  • A new folder will open.
  • Select all files and sub-folders in that Temp Folder and delete them. (What is Temp Folder?)

Temp Folder is a directory used to hold temporary files. Many operating systems and some software automatically delete the contents of this directory at bootup or at regular intervals. All files in Temp folder are safe to remove.
